Custom linked suspensions for Toyota Land Cruisers
Leaf springs are a proven suspension design, but limit travel, absorbsion, and wheel base too much for some tastes. For this reason, Proffitt's Cruisers offers several different Linked Suspension options for Land Cruisers.
4-Link and 3-Link Long Travel Suspension.
For Land Cruiser owners who want ultimate off road performance, extended wheelbase, and extreme suspension travel, we offer our Long Travel 4 link suspensions. Available in kit form or fully installed, we can accommodate most any axle choice. We also offer a variety of choices to suspend your Land Cruiser ranging from quarter elliptic to coils and coilovers.

Rear Long Travel 4 link suspenions are our most popular and are often combined with our SOA (spring over axle) front suspension. An SOA front 4 Link rear 40 series Land Cruiser drives very well at high speeds, and outperforms most other driveable rigs on the trail.

For more extreme off road performance, you can add a long travel front 3 link or 4 link suspension to your Land Cruiser. Adding a front, long travel, linked suspension is costly and only recommended for low speed extreme off road use Land Cruisers. We offer a front 4 link and also a 3 link suspension kit for stock Land Cruiser FJ40 and FJ60 axles, but most individuals linking their front axles, upgrade to a stronger axle such as a dana 60 at the same time. Triangulated front 4 link suspensions such as ours require full hydraulic steering.
NEW: High Speed 3 link and 5 link suspensions.

This 3 link front and 5-link rear system handles corners, washboard roads, speed and obstacles.Proffitt's Cruisers also offers a NEW 3 link front 5 link rear suspension for high speed use and comfort. The rear suspension is the only one we offer that works with 79 and later 40 seires Land Cruisers with the factory tank under the body. Ride height is increased by 4 inches or more with this suspension, but it can be modified to provide only 2 inches of lift. This suspension really performs well on corners and washboard roads. It is available in kit form or fully installed as are all of our suspensions.
The front kit uses FJ80 radius arms and all new bracketry. The front of the Land Cruiser is suspended using 12" travel coilover shocks. The rear is a parallel 4 link with a panhard bar. Suspension is provided by coil springs and seperate shocks. This suspension allows for increases wheelbase up to 6 inches in the front and 12 inches in the rear.
