The B3.3 is a 3.3L direct injected turbo charged 4 cylinder diesel that produces 85HP and 215 lb-ft of torque. This 520lb compact diesel performs very well in FJ40's and FJ45's

Pros
- More compact and lighter than most other diesels we install
- Both engine and parts readily available
- Reasonably priced (just over $5000 new)
- Easily adaptable to lots of transmissions
- Delivers good fuel economy 25-35 mpg reported
- Good choice for alternative fuels like WVO and bio-diesel
Cons
- Small output, not suitable for heavier vehicles
- Louder than most new production automotive diesel engines

Cummins 3.9L
The famous 4BT comes in several forms. The most common of which is the 4BT and 4BTA. These are direct injected turbo charged, 4 cylinder engines. In stock from, the 4BT puts out 105HP and 265 lb-ft and in recent years a 130HP with 355lb-ft version is available. The injection pump on the stock 4BT can be tweaked for more power if desired, and different injectors and turbos can be installed can be installed to add more power as well

Cons
- Very loud engine with lots of vibration (4btAAs have less vibration)
- Requires at least a 4" lift to clear the front differential
- Again... VERY LOUD!
